One of the UK’s leading off site timber frame manufacturers, Advanced Panel Systems (UK) Ltd of Cornwall, chose TLX Silver to help deliver a cost effective housing construction with low environmental impact. The product was specified by APS™ to be used on a Project for a Social Housing provider in Newquay, Cornwall.

What was specified:

TLX Silver already an established product as a performance enhancing solution for roofs when used with rigid board and glass wool. In walls it can improve the U-value of a timber frame wall from 0.21 to 0.18W/m2.K whilst retaining a 140mm stud depth.

In this instance Web Dynamics developed bespoke sizes specifically for the project to improve energy efficiency and reduce waste:

• Each roll was supplied in special 3.2m widths for factory fixing – enabling one pass over the production line, eliminating the need to overlap material, taping and bulge at overlap maintaining a clear cavity in service void
• The product was also supplied with 400mm top and bottom flanges to improve air tightness
