TLX Gold, the breathable multi-foil and breathable roofing underlay has been installed at Thornford Park secure hospital as part of the first phase of a major re-roof project for The Priory Group.
Thornford Park Hospital is a 122 bed, low and medium secure hospital offering individualised care, treatment and rehabilitation for adult men, detained under the Mental Health Act.
What was specified?
 More than 1,000 square metres of TLX Gold has been installed as a standalone roof insulation upgrade. The installation was carried out by roofing contractors Bowller Group and a further four roofs are to be completed as part of the project.

· allows renovation work to be completed with minimal disruption
· allows a building to `breathe’ – delivering a comfortable and energy efficient environment.
 Alistair Forbes of Forbes Associates, building surveyors for the project, said: “Although we have specified multi-foils before this was the first time we have used TLX Gold. The product offers time and costs savings as it doubles up as a sarking felt too. The two-in-one product worked well and the installation was completed in keeping with the schedule. It is a unique product that tackled a number of issues for us and we believe it tackled them well.”
