News : Rock solid solution for Gibraltar housing project

Web Dynamics’ TLX Gold has been specified for a housing refurbishment project commissioned by the Government of Gibraltar.

The project will see more than 3,600 square metres of TLX Gold, the two-in-one breathable multi-foil and roofing membrane installed in Mimosa Lodge, Montagu Gardens in Westside Gibraltar as part of a major renovation of the external facade of the buildings.

The flats are approximately 15 years old and all fully occupied so a sympathetic installation is essential. The re-roofing will include the removal of the existing roof which will be replaced with TLX Gold over plywood with a Metrotile composite light gauge steel mineral covered tile.

TLX Gold, the only 2-in-1 breathable multi-foil and roofing membrane has been commended for its versatility in refurbishment projects. The product helps tackle issues surrounding the delivery of thermal performance upgrades in existing roofs with no condensation risk. TLX Gold is also a less invasive product to install (no need for loft space access) and it enables the roof line of a property to be maintained.
